Cdx files not updating correctly on server

Reducing the number of index orders or creating a data dictionary are not feasible solutions due to time constraints. In reality, though, I think it allows up to 256 tags per file. I'll try tomorrow at work so see if ARC will allow me to have more than 50 orders.I'm hoping to avoid the solution of informing out support team / developers not to update column X via SQL. And I also think that it works with CDX as well; the file would probably be incompatible with other DBF/CDX types of drivers since they may expect the limit to be 50. We are still on ADS 8 so the limitation might still be there.

I have a table that has more than 50 index orders (crazy - I know!I'm not using a data dictionary so I can't use something like sp_Add Index File To Database.Does anyone know any methods (or hacks) I can use to get the index file to open through an SQL statement prior to running an update statement?Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Msdn Web site.If you choose to participate, the online survey will be presented to you when you leave the Msdn Web site.

I havesuccessfully opened DBF files from C# using vfpoleddb driver (VFP 9.0)and SQL SELECT statements.
